Field Notes: a content-led publishing interface

Portfolio preview — visual system study for a calm, content-first publication.

This preview project explores a focused interface, the system decisions behind it, and the small details that make the final work feel deliberate. It is placeholder portfolio content, not a published case study.

The work began by reducing the interface to the information people needed most, then testing the hierarchy against real content. The resulting structure kept the path through the project clear without turning the page into a product tour.

“A portfolio should make the work easy to read before it asks the reader to admire it.”

Visual rules were kept intentionally small: a durable type scale, a compact spacing rhythm, and components that can absorb longer content without losing their balance. Those choices make the preview a useful stand-in while the case study is being prepared.

The next iteration will replace this fixture with the published project record, including its full process, outcomes, and supporting media.
